Deb Erickson
Branch Development

Deb Erickson first became involved with PSMI in 2005 when she served as a corporate coach and consultant. In her current position, she focuses on staff and branch development. As a PrimeSource Mortgage ambassador, she travels widely, coaching branch owners, training staff, and promoting PSMI through her ICAN empowerment seminars.

After earning her BA in Education at Illinois State University, Deb spent the next eight years coaching and teaching in New Mexico schools. Entering the corporate arena, she became engaged in staff training and development for American Heart Association and the University of Phoenix. She also trained and managed sales teams for The Equitable.

Driven to grow her own business, she started her first company Breakthrough Learning Systems, Inc. in 1992. Three years later, she partnered with Val Vigil and launched ICAN Institute, which they operate out of their office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition to her PSMI responsibilities, Deb still travels nationwide as the CEO of ICAN Institute, delivering motivational speeches to national organizations and holding training/coaching seminars for corporations.

Shawn R. Hughes
Graphic Artist and Videographer

Shawn Hughes, President of Image Group Marketing, has been contracted to develop marketing materials for PrimeSource Mortgage, Inc. He created our corporate promotional package, including business cards, folders, and DVD. As a member of the convention planning team, he helps produce our annual convention, capturing video and producing multi-media presentations.

Hughes became president of Image Group Marketing of Roswell, New Mexico, in 2004. In addition to his administrative duties, he is in charge of marketing and video production. He has a master's degree in communications from Texas Tech and a bachelor's degree from Lubbock Christian University, also in Texas.

His previous occupations include production director and program director for various radio stations; Director of Marketing for Lubbock Christian University, instructor of Communication Studies, and CEO of the Roswell Chamber of Commerce.

Shawn has received several noteworthy awards: NM Chamber Director of the Year in 2003; ADDY award in Lubbock, Texas; Admissions Advertising Award for a recruiting video for Roswell Campus of Eastern New Mexico University.

Shawn and Deana have two children: Cameron, 9, and Camille, 8.



Mary E. Erickson
Editor and Writer

Mary Erickson joined PSMI support staff in October 2005 as our company editor. In addition to editing articles, brochures and letters, she interviews officers, staff and branch owners, writing biographical sketches and success stories. Mary writes, prunes, and polishes press releases and articles for our Web site.

After graduating from Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, with a major in English, Mary spent eleven years in the teaching field-four of those in Seoul, South Korea. Her second career-secretary and word processing supervisor-lasted seven years. Her third career, writing and editing, began in 1974. She has edited company/club periodicals and newsletters, technical manuals and manuscripts, and has authored 18 children's books with four publishers.

Mary lives in Arizona with her husband Wallace H. Erickson, former President of Compassion International, Inc. They have three children, four grandchildren, one great grandchild and the second on the way.
