Jeffrey R. Smith
President and CEO

Jeffrey Smith opened the first PSM office in 1994 in Roswell, New Mexico. In 1998, he took over the reins of PrimeSource Mortgage, Inc. and began to expand the business. In February 1999, he purchased the company and became the President and CEO. Today he heads up a corporate staff of four people headquartered in Roswell, New Mexico, and leads 30 branches in six southwestern states. In addition to his administrative duties, he actively grows the company by recruiting branch owners, establishing more branches, and pursuing new business partners.

Jeff has a broad background in the world of banking. From 1983 to 1994 he held a variety of positions, rising to the vice presidency in both Norwest Bank of Roswell and Sunwest Bank of Roswell.

To prepare for this banking career, Jeff attended several schools; notable among them were West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas, where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1983, and Southwestern Graduate School of Banking in Dallas, Texas, where he earned his graduate degree in 1994.

Jeff and Cindi, married since 1983, have two children: Eric and Kristin.



Cindy Blake
Administrative Assistant

In October, 2006, Cindy Blake became the Administrative Assistant to President Jeffrey Smith and Chief Financial Officer Kurt Gass. Her past employment includes personal secretary to the president of a Texas insurance company for three years, and she worked in the oil and gas industry for 18 years in various departments including accounting. Cindy's past work history will provide her with valuable experience as she takes on her new role at PSM.

She said that her greatest challenge will be "to learn the mortgage language so I will be able to assist in all areas if needed." Concerning our motto, We Walk You Home, she said, "I hope I am able to add to the positive experience we promise the people who are making one of the biggest purchases in their lives."

Participating in community service projects is important to Cindy. She has assisted in city and state elections, taught in a club called Early Teen Community Bible Study, and helped out in a variety of Salvation Army projects.

Cindy has two children: Ashleigh Stevens, 13 yrs. old; Corey Stevens, 10 yrs. old. Cindy and her husband Glen celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary in September, 2006.



Crystal Chavez
Branch Services

In March of 2001, Crystal Chavez became a member of the PSM team in Roswell, New Mexico. In her current position, she helps new branches get established. She is in frequent contact with the branch owners, assisting them in their compliance training and education. Hosting training sessions in Roswell and planning conference events adds variety to her work. She also supports the projects of the Resource Team, supplying information or acting as a liaison to the organization.

After earning a bachelor's degree in business administration from New Mexico State University, she held a variety of jobs in Albuquerque and Las Cruces before joining PSMI. She handled customer service for a healthcare company and member services for an insurance company. She later served as the sales manager for a hotel.

Crystal's husband, Mark Chavez, is a loan originator in Roswell's PSM branch office. When Crystal's not consumed with PrimeSource business, she acts as a chauffer for Jordan, her six-year-old daughter.



Kathleen Curtis
Branch Services

On May, 2006, Kathleen Curtis joined the PrimeSource Team. Her past employment was involved with a major bank in the mortgage servicing department. She also worked in payroll with another big corporation as she did taxes and accounting. Kathleen's past work history provides her with valuable experience as she takes on her new role at PSM.

In her current position, she helps branches get set up with lenders, place loans and does all fee splits. She has a number of different areas to keep these branches running smooth as she is in contact with them everyday. With all the lenders and different programs available, Kathleen can help to get the branches off to a great start as they are coming on board.

Participating in the community is very important to Kathleen. She is currently attending the Roswell Leadership Class, is a board member for the Presidents Club of Roswell (Red Coats), on the Parenting Committee at Noah's Ark PreSchool, teaches at Early Teen Community Bible Study, and helps at the Valley Christian Academy School every chance she gets.

When not involved with work and community projects, Kathleen spends all her free time with her two children. Caleb at age seven loves sports and dirt bikes, Abbi at age three enjoys ballet and dance along with spending time with her friends.



Sommer McDougal
Branch Services

In 2007, Sommer McDougal joined the PrimeSource Team. She was formerly an Account Executive with one of the PrimeSource lenders. This is where she experienced the value of retail and wholesale lending in both the prime and sub-prime areas. She has been acquainted with PrimeSource for many years.

Sommer is responsible for assisting with branch recruiting and lender relations. With a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University, Sommer has found her niche in the mortgage industry. She is very personable, positive and along with her great knowledge makes her an asset to PSM.

Sommer resides in Dallas, TX, where she spends her free time with her husband, Coby, and her one year old daughter, Camden. She enjoys reading, water or snow skiing, and spending time with her friends and family.
